Beyond Borders: body and voice in ancient greek tragedy 
A workshop led by Theodoros Terzopoulos assisted by Savvas Stroumpos and Meletis Ilias

 
The workshop aims at teaching techniques that broaden body and voice. The work will include: exercises of diaphragmatic breath, localisating the main energetic spots of the body, localisating the main sound generating spots of the body, liberating energy and voice and interpretating a small text from ancient Greek tragedy. For this part, participants are asked to be familiar with the tragedy of Eurypides, Bacchae.

 
The workshop is directed to Polish participants: students of acting and to young actors and directors, from 18 to 35 years old. However, few foreign participants fluent in English could be accepted in the workshop, too.  

 

Participants should bring with them comfortable clothes, socks and a copy of Bacchae by Eurypides.  

 

Number of participants: max 20. Participants are accepted upon the order of sending applications. Priority is given to Polish applicants.

The fee can be paid in cash upon arrival in Wroclaw, according to individual agreement with the workshop coordinator.
